Brand Review: Concealers

To me, Concealer on the undereye is one of the
most important step during the whole make-up process!

And of course do apply a few dots of highlighter
like Benefit's Highbeam on the undereye area
before applying concealer sothe eye area will
brighten up instantly.

Do not use too much concealer, just spread a thin layer 1st,
if it still doesn't cover your dark eye-ring, apply another layer.

For blending: always use your ring finger to dab
so you won't apply too much force on the undereye area
which would cause lines & wrinkles!
Don't try to blending by "rubbing" it in, just dab dab dab
or you'll end up rubbing it off and you'll have to apply another layer.

After blending, you should set the concealer
with a layer of loose powder!

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer was awarded
"Beauty Makeup Award" in the "Brides" magazine
.

What they claim to do:

The formula is filled with skin conditioning ingredients like Vit A,
Which helps minimize the appearance of fine dry lines and wrinkles
and Vit E, Which moisturizes and provides antioxidant protection.

What do i say about this concealer:

This baby is one heavy duty concealer man!
It's best to use a concealer brush to blend,
The formula is really creamy, so it's easier to glide and blend.
it's a yellow-based concealer which instantly covers up any dark circles!
The concealer kit comes with a loose powder under the concealer,
Real cute and convenient!

But i think it's a weee bit too thick, and cakey on me. ):

Price: S$50plus

Shu Uemura Pro Concealer

What they claim to do:

A compact concealer intended for use on
extended areas of imperfections or blotchiness.
Creamy texture contains moisturizing emollients
and is easy to apply. Flexible coverage and long lasting results.

What do i say about this concealer:

I feel that this concealer is just as good, camouflaging
dark circles just as well as the bobbi brown creamy concealer,
But it's not as creamy & a weeee bit hard to blend.

But i think the packaging is not very good!
Cos it's like in a compact, not airtight,
so the concealer kinda dried up abit overtime!

Price: S$30 plus

Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer

What they claim to do:

Actually "bridges" fine lines and wrinkles.
Smoothing, Minizing for an instantly firmer look.
Skin-brightening ingredients help counteract shadows,
reduce redness and give skin a more even tone.
Long-lasting coverage builds from moderate to full.

What do i say about this concealer:

Packaging wise nothing fancy,
just like any other product from clinique.

It has this sponge doe-foot applicator,
so it would obviously absorb alot of product in the applicator,
so i kinda just dot three dot on my undereye area, and then blend.
Cos you know, too much concealer = eeeeew.
I like this product cos it's not too thick,
but it does it's job and cover my dark eye-rings well.

Price: 14 USD
(I bought it from nordstrom.com)

ZA Concealer Perfection

What they claim to do:

Rapidly covers discolouration,
uneven skin surface and other skin concerns.
This concealer controls your skin tone in just the way you want.

What do i say about this concealer:

I've heard lots of great reviews of this concealer,
For one, it cost only like what, 13bucks?
It's awesome for it's price tag!
It's creamy, so easy to blend,
covers my dark eye-ring easily.
Never cakes on me and it last all day!

Price: S$13 plus

Which is my ultimate faaaaavourite then?!

I seriously don't know! hahahs, i love new cosmetics,
so it really depends on my mood when i pick which concealer to use,
which blusher to use, which foundation to use.

But for price wise, if you have more $$$ to spare
i recommend you get the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit!
Cos it's pretty worth the S$50+ with the concealer & the loose powder!

But if you want a lower end concealer, just get the ZA one,
I feel that it's good enough!

Hope you'll find a concealer that suits you well! (:
